Fr. Michael J. McGivney Assembly # 3093 

 

In over  fifty years of  business experience I have learned  the importance of being a team player,  and  have always focused  my attention to arrive at wining  conditions  when dealing with committees  or  organizations.   No one wants to walk away from a bargaining table thinking that they lost.  It is always in everyone’s best interest to arrive at agreeable conditions for all concerned.

 

As a member of the Knights of Columbus, I have held the position of Council Recorder, Deputy Grand Knight, Purser, Comptroller and a founding father of the Father Michael J. McGivney Assembly.   I have received many awards in my service to the Knights of Columbus including Knight of the month, Knight of the year, Family of the Month, and Family of the year by Supreme.  The last award presented to me was in 2007 at the 2^nd district Exemplification in Eatontown, where I was honored by receiving the Knight of the year award for the 2^nd district of New Jersey.  I have acted as chair person for many events including the first Christmas party for the Father Michael J. McGivney assembly, and many events on the council level.

 

As Navigator I feel my focus should be on the forming of programs and actions by recruiting a quality team of officers that will help me with creating strong membership growth and more importantly member retention.   We need to focus on providing more opportunities for our members other than just color call outs.  We need to focus on providing more activities for our members to serve in the Patriotic arena.   It is a great honor to be a Sir Knight in the 4^th degree;   and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
